MLK day at Epilogue Kitchen and Cocktails

On Monday, January 16th we gathered at Epilogue Kitchen and Cocktails to share a meal together. It was a beautiful sight to see all the children drawing and coloring together while folks browsed the Black Excellence Library and shared stories with each other.

Jon, Maura and the crew served up Pumpkin Coconut soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s speech played loudly from the outdoor speakers.

Laughter and warmness were abundant.

$957 was raised for the aid we offer our neighbors at Free Fridge Salem.

Thank you to Epilogue Kitchen and Cocktails for showing us that that a better world is possible when we actively participate in change and disrupt oppressive systems.
