The Radical Free Market Returns!
Exciting news!! The next Radical Free Market will be at River Road City Park! We will set up under the shelter (on tables or blankets) on Sunday, May 28th from 12-3pm.
The Radical Free Market is an outdoor market where everything is free! Folks bring their clean and gently used items to the market, set them up and the items are gifted to anyone that can use them. When the market is over, you take your goodies back with you that weren't gifted to someone in the community. The Radical Free Market is not a drop site.
We also like to offer a meal at the Radical Free Market and if you're interested in cooking something for the market (or bringing pizza!), please let us know. Our plan, assuming enough volunteers sign up to bring meals radical free market sign up link, is to have a meal arrive every 30 minutes throughout the market. A current food handler's card is needed and volunteers are welcome to make a homemade dish (for example: 20 sandwiches or quesadillas, a soup, casserole, etc) or have (prepaid) pizza delivered to the market! 3045 River Road North - pavilion
Even if you don't have anything to give away at the Radical Free Market, you are still invited to come and hang out, be in community, and see what the community has to offer.
Please send us an email at freefridgesalem@gmail.com if you have any questions.
ID: a dark blue square with large off-white text that reads, THE RADICAL FREE MARKET RETURNS!, SUNDAY, MAY 28TH, 12-3PM, RIVER RD CITY PARK. Below the large text, there is three different color dots, first red, then orange, then turquoise. Below that, at the bottom of the square in small text, the post reads, Everything is free! Take home whatever you bring that is not taken by the community. Meals from the community will be arriving every 30 minutes. The square has three large, partial circles on it. First, the top right corner has slightly more than a quarter of a turquoise, semi-transparent circle on it. Second, the bottom left corner has almost half of a large, orange, semi-transparent circle on it. Lastly, the bottom right corner has a quarter of a thin, yellow, semi-transparent ring going across it. None of the circles obscure the text of the post, but the text does overlap a little over each circle.
