Thrifting for our neighbors

A few Free Fridge Salem volunteers have gone to a couple thrift stores in town and recovered some warm winter clothing for our neighbors. We have been able to find pants, sweats, long-sleeved shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, hoodies, jackets, hats, gloves and shoes.

We are using the funds that were raised at the A cappela fundraiser with the amazing local group, Headband to purchase all these warm goodies for our neighbors.

We were able to take the clothing to the laundromat and get it all washed, dried and labeled for our neighbors and we are going to offer the warm clothing at Soup Squad twice a week from 3-5pm.

We are also still accepting donations of warm clothing for our neighbors directly at Soup Squad. If you have some things that you have purchased or have pulled from your own closet for our neighbors, you can bring it on down and get it directly to someone that needs it. If you have more than a bag of clothing to donate, please take it by our warehouse on Sunday during open hours. Please send an email to freefridgesalem@gmail.com for the address.

Always accepting tents, sleeping bags, blankets and towels.
